Chevy 350 Fuel Pump Rod Stuck

Pump and mounting plate are off i can barely get a pair of channel locks on there but it wont budge.

It had sat a long time and was in unknown condition. If it won t slide out then it is either you have not removed the fuel pump mounting plate it has seized in the bore has had the end mushroomed from friction on the cam or someone has put in the wrong length bolt in the hole perpendicular to the pushrod on the front. Today i removed the fuel pump push rod from my 1985 305 chevy v 8. Replacing the mechanical fuel pump i mush have messed up the push rod it is currently jammed in the block with no rotation or any sort of movement.

If your block has the pipe plug located below the fuel pump rod it will not be coaxed out by removing the fuel pump inserting a flat blade in the fuel pump block hole then you may not have any choice because you can t pull it thru the fuel pump opening.
